I haven’t done one of these in a while (heck, I haven’t hardly blogged lately period) so I thought I would today.

Thirteen things left on our house to-do list.

1. Paint the last 3 walls in the kitchen/dining room “Buchorn Tan”.

2. Touch up all ceilings, doors and trim in the house.

3. Paint outside trim and garage door.

4. Replace front yard flowers that didn’t make it.

5. Design and order dining room canvas.

6. Decorate master bath.

7. Hang the rest of the pictures, etc downstairs and in the loft (once painting is finished).

8. Buy shelves to display my antique cameras in the loft.

9. Clean all 5 million windows inside and outside.

10. Finish pulling all the weeds we “Round-Up’ed” a couple weeks ago.

11. Hang wire on back fence for honeysuckle to trail.

12. Organize garage.

13. Relax and enjoy “our” house.

13 things I have loved about living in Florida.

1. Being closer to family. After 3 years in the UK, it was nice to be closer for a bit.

2. My job. I wasn’t specifically looking at the time but it was exactly right for me.

3. The beach/water views. Seeing the sun setting on the water while going over the Mid-Bay Bridge is absolutely breathtaking.

4. Fresh, delicious seafood.

5. NicevilleUMC and the people that make it up.

6. My girls, they know who they are.

7. My PIC.

8. My oncologist. While I would have never “wished” to have cancer, God put me in the exactly right place to get the diagnosis.

9. My surgeon and finally getting approved for WLS. It has helped me shed the weight and find myself again.

10. Owning my own business for a bit.

11. Being able to “park hop” more affordably.

12. Much less drama than the UK.

13. Getting paid to live in other people’s dream vacation destination :).

In honor of New Year’s Eve and the coming year of 2010, today I’ll review thirteen memorable events of 2009 in my life.

1. January – Bryan and I took a weekend staycation, all by ourselves in Sandestin.

2. February – I “celebrated” my 1 year cancer anniversary and RAN my very first 5K.

3. March – Kidney stone, enough said.

4. April – I hit my first weight goal of 160, 6 months ahead of when I “aimed” to.

5. May – Relay For Life, my 2nd time participating and my 1st as a committee member.

6. June – Texas Road Trip

7. July – My 1 year lapband anniversary.

8. August – My 3 year work anniversary.

9. September – 2nd reaction to my allergy shots, this time a FULL systemic reaction that landed me in the ER.

10. October – I turned 30…sigh.

11. November – Bryan started the first class for the next phase of our Air Force lives.

12. December – Vaction to Tampa for New Year’s!

13. Best event all year – Bryan and I celebrated 10 years of marriage (July 31st).

In honor of Thanksgiving today, thirteen things I am thankful for.

1. Bryan, my best friend. I’m not sure he truly know what he means to me and that is a shame on my part.

2. Jacey, the light of my life and the miracle we never thought would be. There isn’t a day that goes by that she can’t bring a smile to my face.

3. My family. They are who helped shape me to be the woman I am today and I am pretty proud of that woman.

4. The Air Force. Yes, it is a pain in my backside some days, but it has given us a really good and secure life.

5. My job. It was a blessing in disguise and has been an immensely important part of my life for the last 3 years.

6. Our church family, they are awesome.

Okay, I am going to sway off the serious here. Being serious ALL the time is just not ME.

7. My truck, proof that Bryan has kept me the spoiled brat that I always have been (not to mention, it is safe, secure and reliable:).

8. My laptop, my little connection to friends past, present and future.

9. My USAA debit card. Come on, how can you not be thankful for those things?! SO much easier than having to have cash or write checks.

10. Godiva truffles…I am drooling just sitting here thinking about them!

11. The heater and budget billing from Gulf Power. Otherwise, I would be a popsicle right now.

12. Oscar (for those not in the know, my lap band). He has helped me shed weight and gain the confidence (even if he is a grouch sometimes:).

Okay, back to serious.

13. God, enough said.

Thirteen Things I want to get done while Bryan is TDY these next few months.

1. Clean out the file drawers. I usually do in in January each year, but slacked this year and it is almost January again.

2. Update our wills.

3. Purge the garage/attic stuff.

4. Get a good budget for after the move planned out, since losing my income is going to be a rude awakening the first few months.

5. Read 3 books.

6. Clean up and organize my firefox bookmarks.

7. Get caught up on editing pictures and stay caught up.

8. Scrap again.

9. Write a book review that I should have written months ago.

10. Create a chore chart for Jacey (she wants to clean toilets, I am tempted to let her…LOL).

11. Go to bed earlier.

12. Not go crazy.

13. Lose these last stinkin’ 17 pounds.

Thirteen reflections on 30.

1. Turning 30 wasn’t as bad as I had envisioned. On this side, I am in great company.

2. My 20′s sucked. Not so sure why I want to stay in them longer.

3. My 30′s are going to be great.

Thirteen things I learned (or was reminded of) tonight.

1. Carnivals/fairs/festivals are expensive.

2. Carnival ride operators are a little on the strange side.

3. I still can’t handle any ride that goes around in a circle similar to a merry-go-round.

4. They make me really hot and nauseous.

5. Bryan can’t either, as was evidenced by him leaving his dinner in the grass.

6. Jacey on the other hand, has no fear nor queasiness issues.

7. Carnivals are no fun without funnel cake.

8. I live in redneck central. Texas has NOTHING on this place!

9. Point & shoot’s are horrible for taking pics of moving objects but I was too lazy to lug my dSLR.

10. I am getting really good though at taking self portraits of the 3 of us with the p&s and iphone.

11. Carnival rides look a little shady. You just get on and pray.

12. Miss Mullet Fest screams a LOT on the “scary” rides.

13. I am getting too old for this stuff :).

Thirteen things you might not know about me.

1. I have moved more times than I have fingers and toes. Hence why I have the itch…again. It’s just normal for me.

2. I never wanted to get married nor have kids.

3. I took ballet from age 3 to 11 but I definitely wouldn’t call myself graceful.

4. I get along much better with guys and always have. Less drama and less “keeping up with the Jones”.

5. I was on my way to becoming a doctor until I got Forrest Gump for an A&P teacher. I took his class twice and withdrew both times to avoid dropping my GPA. That was the first science class I ever had to actually crack a book in and still couldn’t pull at least a “B”.

6. College was very hard for me, I actually had to study.

7. I totaled the first 2 cars I owned and wrecked the 3rd one twice (once was not my fault, Bambi should have listened to his mother and stayed by her side).

8. I am totally not cut out for military life, except for the moving…I do okay there.

9. I was a leaving Prints scrapbooking consultant when we lived in the UK. So totally not a fit for me.

10. I collect frog “stuff” and have for YEARS. No clue where the obsession came from.

11. I do not like talking on the phone. I will email you all day long, but get me on the phone and I want off about 5 minutes later. The only person I *like* to talk to is Bryan and I even have my moments with him.

12. I won several pageants as a child, including Little Miss Cowgirl in 1985. Yes, cowgirl…don’t hate.

13. I am a spoiled brat. Really, I bet you didn’t know that :)!

Thirteen things I miss right now.

1. Bryan (did I ever tell you how much swings SUCK).

2. My Mom’s potato soup (she used to always make it for me when I was sick).

3. Scrapbooking (yes, I know that is my fault but I never feel like I have the time yet that creative outlet does wonders for my moods).

4. Not having a job (while I love my job, when I didn’t have one, I could just *be* sick).

5. Moving (crazy I know, but this is the longest I have lived in one place since I was 11).

6. A clean desk.

7. Days when I didn’t have to do ANYTHING.

8. A fabric couch (leather is cold and I no longer have my layer of warmth (aka, fat)).

9. My sanity.

10. A normal non-military lifestyle (although I am not sure I remember what that is).

11. Paris.

12. My UK girlfriends, I just haven’t found *that* here.

13. Sleep.
