1. We managed to actually have Bryan home for 18 months before had the TDY again.

2. My incisions/cut muscles/stitches are feeling better and better each day.

5. My munchkin who says, “I don’t want Daddy to go, but at least we’ll have each other”.

1. Surgery went well and so far recovery is too.

2. Friends that offer help, bring meals, etc and never bat an eye.

3. Zoey’s ears seem to be getting better (double ear infection). Strangest part is her ears have laid over since we adopted her in October, now with treatment her ears are standing up like a typical Yorkie’s do.

4. T3 or Percocet induced sleep. I’ll take what I can get when I can get it.

5. I actually ate chicken for dinner last night and it went down. Yay for real, nutritious food!

1. Menu is made, groceries are bought and I don’t have to go back until after Bryan leaves for New York.

2. The monies for a quick weekend getaway this past weekend for some non-home family time.

3. Two 3 day weekends in a row.

4. My BRCA results came back negative. So that means, my breast cancer chance is only about 20%.

5. My husband who keeps me warm at night and loves me even when I am not very loveable.

1. We found a pet door we think will work for Zoey and our ginormous sliding patio door.

2. Bryan and Jacey are changing the oil, installing new brakes and rotating the tires on his car this weekend and on my truck next weekend, so I won’t have to worry about it till he’s back from TDY.

3. I am finally on the last Sookie Stackhouse book. Please don’t write anymore…LOL..and please tell me book 11 won’t drag as much as book 10 did.

2. Exercise, I think…even though I pay for it for days afterwards (fatigue), I know it is good for my body.

3. A husband that does not care when I slack on laundry or don’t cook dinner. Some days, it just doesn’t happen.

4. While I would LOVE to go back to work because I am bored out of my mind, I don’t *have* to. We are financially secure as a one-income household and so many can’t say that.

1. Friends. Some days I feel like I really haven’t made any connections here, then some days there is no missing that I really have.

2. Christmas is over. I love the reason for the season, but I just wasn’t into it this year.

3. Date nights.

4. A clean house.

5. We are officially done with Creech…for a while anyway!

1. All the Christmas goodies are made and packaged up to drop off with Bryan’s squadron and the gate guards tomorrow.

4. Jacey is such a flexible kid, since we are having a very mixed-up Christmas this year.

1. Seeing the miracle of Christ’s birth played out every year at Christmastime. It never gets old and I never fail to get teary eyed.

2. Two glorious weeks minus one day of no alarm clocks!

3.  A wonderful parent/teacher conference (even if I did skip out and only Bryan went). Jacey is doing great, reading at a 12th grade 9th month level and her teacher is quite impressed with her. Her GATE teacher thinks she is an awesome kid too, super independent and intelligent.

4. I feel human again! My cold is finally 99% gone! Only a very sporadic runny nose left.

5. Day trips to do fun things as a family.

1. Medicine, even if it feels like it is doing nothing.

2. ALL my Christmas shipping is DONE.

3. Retro Bakery.

4. Vacuum cleaners, because real trees make HUGE messes.

5. Bryan found out he starts his new job in early January. While the first 6 months is going to be rough, we are both looking forward to it.

1. This crazy busy week is ALMOST over. Swim meet today and then I get a few days of  “normal”.

2. Only pj’s and part of my milspouse secret Santa gift are left to buy. Almost hit my December 1 goal.

3. Lunch with a friend. I needed that laughter this week, immensely.

4. I have my truck back. No solution, but it has made it up to corporate level now, so we shall see how Ford chooses to handle customer service/complaints.

5. Bryan was picked for the new job! We are beyond thrilled! Not too many details yet, but we are told by many that it is a dream job for career advancement and status in his AFSC.
