My daughter is a character, through and through. So full of personality and life. Unfortunately, with that also comes the inability to predict ANYTHING that is ever going to come out of her mouth except “I love you”.

A few days ago Bryan and I were discussing a recent mugging/shooting in the area. Jacey was asking questions, which then prompted us to ask her what she should do if anyone ever tries to mug/rob her.

Her response, “I’ll kick them in the balls and run.”

After a moment of stunned silence and a small scolding for using language like that, she responded with, “Sorry Mommy” and then in an almost whisper, “but I would”.

We had to explain to her that wasn’t the right response, but I couldn’t help but laugh later. First I had no clue she even knew about the whole balls reference (apparently kids at school were using it back in 2nd grade?!) and second, right or wrong, that would be my response too.

She definitely has her Mommy’s tenacity and attitude.

And then just had to push my luck last night! Think this counts as illegal use of a shopping cart!? We weren’t arrested, but did get a few strange looks from the older, Benz drivers of Destin :).

Thirteen reasons why I only have one child (aka, why in the heck did I chaperone an out of state field trip :).

1. I got my little girl on the first try.

2. Little girls are calm.

3. Little boys are wild.

4. Little boys and little girls together are just plain nuts.

5. Loud noises hurt my ears.

6. Three kids all battling to be heard are loud.

7. I am not quick enough to answer three gifted children’s questions at the same time, one challenges me enough.

8. I cannot go into two bathrooms at once (and I am sure the men inside would not appreciate me trying).

9. One is costly, three are bank breaking.

10. One makes a choice, three do not like the majority rules philosophy.

11. Keeping up with three kids in a crowded place when each one wants to see something different is insane.

12. One tires me out, three exhaust me.

13. I only have two hands, one for Bryan and one for Jacey.

We had a lot of fun today, but I am very thankful Bryan was there with me. I am so not a kid person and truly commend parents that can have more than one and maintain sanity!!

In my understanding, bras are supposed to lift you up, kind of like a good friend…right?!

Not let you down?!

Well, someone needs to inform my bras of that tidbit.

A few days ago, I had an experience that I would rather not relive. I can’t believe I am even sharing it here, but it is with great urging that I do (yeah, you know who you are:).

So, I get through my run with no issues, felt good, ran hard and didn’t fall off the treadmill (oh wait, I never told you about that?!). I head over to the ledge that I had my pants and jacket sitting on and proceed to put on my jacket. There is this guy that will not stop looking at me funny. Downright staring. I try to blow it off and head out to the truck. Get in the truck, only to look down and discover that my sports bra was sitting..oh, about 6-8 inches higher than it should and my *girls* are poking out below. Thank goodness for my shirt to cover, but it was a bit chilly out if you catch my drift.

Mortified! I was mortified!

Apparently the guy was staring at my *issue*. Now, if it had been another woman, she’d have said, “hey, you may want to go check yourself”. But no, this guy lets me leave like that…

*sigh*

Bryan thought it was hillarious (of course)…me, not so much.

So, needless to say during my run today, I was paranoid. Constantly checking to make sure the bra and my girls were where they were supposed to be…

And they say working out is good for your health….LOL!

Jacey is trouble with a capital T. :-)

Normally she is a really good kids at school, having only come home with something other than a green stamp a handful of times. This week however, she came home with blue twice (one step down from green). On Monday it was because she wouldn’t quit making silly noises…okay, fair enough. Today…well, she came home with a folder full of notes she was writing to the boys. At 6!

While I am not happy about her getting in trouble and distracting the class, I couldn’t help but laugh, probably the first authentic laugh all week. Part of me wanted to discipline her and the other part wanted to say “hey, at least she is writing”, which was a big part of what her teacher wanted to her excel at this year.

*sigh* What am I going to do with her :-)?!

I *should* be sleeping, but in my sleep deprived state of insanity, I found this hillarious…
